Over the past few months, I've been wanting to make some photography upgrades. The goal is to make shooting with clients easier with benefits of having lighter gear while traveling and one lighting system for simplicity. The first upgrades were the purchase of a Profoto B10 and the Magbox by MagMod. My first impressions met all my expectations. Starting with the B10, I really enjoy the size and weight. It packs a punch for its size. As for the Magbbox, I caught in on sale. I own other MagMod products and this addition makes it seamless to use. The only downside is it doesn't pack down small for travel, but manageable.
Recently, I took my niece out to grab a couple shots for her senior photos. The assembly of the Magbox is super simple due to design and magnets. The combination of the B10 and Magbox will definitely help me create great images for clients, family, and friends. A feature of the Profoto B10 that I like is High Speed Sync. It permits me to shoot during sunny days while using flash. As a result, I'll be shoot more during sunny conditions.
The last of my upgrades were the Profoto A1 Duo kit for Nikon, 85mm f/1.8s lens, and Benq SW270C. The A1s compliment the B10 and can be used on or off camera. All the gear play a role in helping create art and memories for clients.
